ABOUT

Travis Corpening is an author, minister, speaker, educational trainer, and spoken wordsmith that embodies a holistic approach in his message and teaching style.  As a former collegiate hooper, track and field champion, now artist, filmmaker and radio personality, he has over two decades of experience engaging the public with a delivery that reaches audiences of all walks of life whether classrooms, board rooms, or basketball courts. Travis has received a long list of accolades including an NAACP Award for his work with youth, the University of North Carolina Wilmington Young Alumn of the Year award in 2016, and the Cucalorus Emergent Leader Award. Corpening keeps his family close to his faith as a married father of two children with his wife Latisha. Always the educator Travis wrote and illustrated a book series known as The Adventure of Lucas and Alyci where he teaches STEM to kids through video using his own sons as main characters. In 2014, he divinely recognized the need for a new resource to help young men of color in the Cape Fear Region and created Young Mogul Development Group, a 501(c)3 that focuses on educating young men ages 13 to 18 in Intro. Currently he serves as the Executive Director. As a lover of truth telling and black history Travis created a song and short film in 2021 titled the Black Fire: The Unfinished Story of Port City as an educational tool to inspire resilience and remind students of the greatness they possess and the importance of loving their community. Transparent, truthful, and wise, he exudes his motto "Live Chosen" as is a living testament to the power of faith.

My approach is simple but powerful: I help people see themselves more clearly—who they are, what they carry, and the purpose they were created for. Whether working with individuals, organizations, or entire communities, my goal is to guide you to the tools, truth, and perspective needed to grow, endure, and thrive.

I believe real change begins with vision—when you can truly see yourself through the lens of who Christ has called you to be. From that clarity comes strength, strategy, and resilience. I walk alongside you, helping to uncover the God-given identity and capacity already within you, and together, we build systems, plans, and momentum that last.

Through faith, practical insight, and a heart for transformation, I empower you to win the battles in front of you—not by might or force, but through Christ and the identity He has placed in you.
